It’s been awhile since I’ve been here. The past month has been full with preparations for the release of my small works prints on metal collection and caring for my dog Dasher in her final days.
Between my two dogs, home hospice lasted from May up until last week. You just have to keep marching forward whether you know what’s coming or not.
It’s lonely around the house without the dogs who have been with me for 15 and 17 years. There’s no anchor.
So as part of celebrating their lives I spent some time this week sending out my thank you notes to our various vets and to some special friends who have supported me in unexpected ways.
Who will you say thank you to this season – or anytime soon, before it’s too late? It’s never too late to say thank you.
If it truly is, because the recipient is missing or deceased, please send your thank you note to the What I Never Told You project. Your note will be shredded, unread and woven into a healing paper quilt that will carry your good intentions into the universe.
